Food Fantasy Validation

Expectations were very high for the wine and food December celebration at Paul Mathew Winery. This year we were privileged to make the exclusive guest list for a not-to-be-missed event featuring Paul Mathew’s phenomenal wines paired and complemented by Chef Tai Olesky’s incredibly tasty food pairings.Menu

Mat introduced everyone to the yet-to-be-released 2013 wines. The Russian River Pinot is ready to drink while the rest of the promising vineyard designates will benefit from another year or so. We were seated to enjoy Chef Tai’s four-course menu, each course paired with two different Paul Mathew library wines. I have never appreciated the Ruxton Vineyard Pinot Noir quite so much as I did that night starring the 2006 and 2009 vintages although all the wines were amazing.
