The Wine & Food Affair is the absolutely best way to discover wines from new wineries, revisit favorites, and find the perfect food to pair with wines from the Alexander, Dry Creek, and Russian River Valleys.
I am no stranger to this event although it’s a hard choice to make with only two days and 186 wineries serving a delectable tidbit paired with their amazing wines. The cuisine is as varied as the wines and the good news is each recipe is published so you can experiment with your favorites.
Some of my favorites were C. Donatiello with Jacques Pepin’s Pork Loin Tournedos; Fog Crest Vineyards with Rabbit Tartelette; Kokomo with Merlot Braised Beef; Papapietro Perry with Smoked Duck & Pork Sausage Slider with Cherry-Onion Pinot Noir Confit; and Roth Estate with Warm Goat Cheese and Heirloom Beet Terrine.
